One reason to avoid high-intensity exercise before bed is that it raises body temperature and heart rate, which can decrease sleep quality. Therefore, it is recommended to do light exercise for a short period.
With the recent hot nights and high humidity making it hard to sleep, I think I'll start with some light stretching from today.
