FAST Checklist for Stroke Warning Signs
Use the following FAST checklist to quickly identify warning signs of a stroke:
F (Face: Face): Please smile. Is one side of your face drooping?
A (Arms: 팔): Raise both arms to the sides. Does one arm drop downward?
S (Speech: 말): Please try to repeat a simple sentence. Is your speech hesitant or strange?
T (Time: Time): If the above symptoms appear, do not delay and go to the emergency room immediately.
Prevention and Management
Regular health check-ups: Manage risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.
Balanced diet: Eat healthy meals that include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
Regular exercise: Engage in at least 30 minutes of aerobic activities such as walking every day.
No smoking: Smoking is one of the major risk factors for stroke.
Stress management: Find appropriate rest and stress relief methods to manage stress.
