(Seoul Saei Dental Clinic) A review of deciding to get braces again after much deliberation, even though I originally didn't intend to.

I had braces a long time ago, but over time, my teeth have started to shift slightly again. In particular, my lower teeth move unevenly, and I can see that they are significantly misaligned even without opening my mouth wide.

First of all, when I had my orthodontic retreatment, I had partial retreatment only on my lower teeth, rather than full correction of both upper and lower teeth.

They suggested setting the timeframe at about one to one and a half years.

Since it took me a whole three years to get braces the first time, I thought I could easily endure about a year and a half, so the duration wasn't a big burden for me.

Once I actually started the orthodontic treatment, it took a bit longer than expected.

The re-correction took two years.

After re-correction

My teeth became straight again after the re-orthodontic treatment, so it was worth the effort.

Based on my personal experience, if partial correction is possible rather than full correction and your gum condition is not bad, I would cautiously recommend retreatment!
