I like the cozy and peaceful atmosphere at Seoljeong Orthopedic Clinic in Dongdaemun-gu.
I suddenly started running when I began my diet because I heard that running is better for burning calories than walking.
It’s called running, but it’s practically just walking or walking and jogging, so I don’t think I ever thought I needed to do a warm-up before running.
I used to run frequently and never experienced any particular health issues, so I let my guard down, but I realized I had overlooked the fact that I have gotten older and become obese.
I went for a run suddenly without realizing these two facts, and perhaps because my muscles were shocked, starting the morning after the run, I experienced pain in my left knee so severe that it was difficult to even walk, causing me to limp.
Strangely, I felt perfectly fine on the day I came back from the run, but starting the next morning, I couldn't even straighten my legs, and it was difficult to even put weight on them.
I thought it was just a temporary phenomenon, so I didn't think about going to the hospital and bought and took anti-inflammatory painkillers from a pharmacy.
I thought it would get better after a day or two, but even after several days, there was no improvement.
So, I visited an orthopedic clinic for the first time.
I selected the hospital based on proximity and good Google ratings.
So, the place I ended up going to is Seoljeong Orthopedic Clinic, located on Jeonnong-ro in Dongdaemun-gu.
Simply put, it is Seoljeong Orthopedic Clinic because the director has the last name Seol.
The inside of the hospital was very pleasant, and the interior felt open rather than stuffy.
The waiting area was spacious and had an unobstructed view, which was nice.
I was really nervous since it was my first time at an orthopedic clinic, but first of all, the head doctor was very young and friendly.
You were a bright and cheerful person, so I was able to enter the counseling session without feeling heavy-hearted.
I explained how I became ill and my condition, and the director listened to everything I said, took detailed notes, and explained the direction of future treatment and suspected causes.
I'm the type who prefers detailed explanations even if I don't fully understand, and they explained everything in great detail.
I felt that the director was very kind, and the nurses were also kind and made sure I could relax comfortably.
After the diagnosis, I received a prescription and even went to physical therapy, and it seems like it took about an hour.
There was a massage sheet laid out during my physical therapy session, and it felt so good that I dozed off every time the treatment changed. I felt so relaxed that I just wanted to take a nap right there.
I received a total of four types of physical therapy.
I had an X-ray taken and received physical therapy, so the total hospital bill came out to 16,670 won.
I got a two-day supply of medicine, so it cost 2,800 won.
Maybe it's because I've been to hospitals abroad so much, but I've always felt that hospital fees in Korea are really cheap.
Of course, as you do it more often, such thoughts will surely disappear, won't they?
I felt at ease during the treatment, so I think I will visit again.
Of course, I wish I didn't have to go to the hospital often.
If you are close to Dongdaemun-gu, be sure to visit.
