I've been diligently doing CrossFit lately. I've been doing CrossFit sporadically for over a year now and haven't had any pain. However, the day after I indulged in box jumps, my knees started to hurt a little. I decided to try acupuncture at a Korean medicine clinic, so I visited the Purunip Oriental Medicine Clinic, which is open on weekday evenings. After registering and going to the director's office, I told him my right knee was hurting, so he pressed on various spots to check the location and severity of the pain and administered moxibustion and bee venom acupuncture. While I was at the clinic, I also asked him to examine my shoulder, which was hurting, and he examined my neck and the area connecting them on the examination chair in the director's office, and administered moxibustion acupuncture points. I think he also applied pressure to painful areas, similar to cupping therapy. After leaving the clinic, I felt a bit numb and it felt like my knee wasn't my own. However, the director said it might be uncomfortable for a few days, so I wasn't too worried.
