While working outside, I hit my jaw hard against a structure. It was red, swollen, and extremely painful. I thought I might have a fractured bone, so I rushed to a nearby hospital. It wasn't serious enough to warrant an emergency room visit, but this was the only orthopedic clinic nearby, so I went. It turned out to be the only one in the area. Fortunately, there was no bone damage, so I was given a prescription. Since it was a simple bruise, they avoided any unnecessary, strong antibiotics and prescribed only painkillers and stomach protectors. I'd occasionally passed by this clinic on my way to work, but after experiencing the director's thorough care, I understood why it's still around, unlike other orthopedic clinics in the area.
