Although I regularly receive dental scaling every year, I was particularly satisfied with this dental procedure. Before starting the procedure, the dentist used an intraoral camera to examine every nook and cranny of my teeth, pinpointing areas that might otherwise be overlooked due to my regular brushing habits. Seeing areas with significant tartar buildup with my own eyes made me even more convinced of the need for treatment.
I was worried because scaling can cause gum sensitivity and bleeding, but the dental hygienist performed the procedure with great skill and gentleness. She carefully adjusted the water temperature and checked frequently to ensure I wasn't feeling any pain, which was a real treat. Over the course of about 30 minutes, she thoroughly cleaned the surface of my teeth and even the area beneath the gum line.
