At Modni Oriental Medical Clinic, I began my TMJ Chuna treatment after a consultation with the director. Facial asymmetry isn't all the same; there are three types. After hearing an explanation of my type and the expected progression, I moved into the treatment room. Since all the muscles in our body are connected, I received physical therapy, electronic moxibustion, wet cupping, and herbal acupuncture for my neck and shoulders before receiving TMJ Chuna. We are using disposable bed covers and pillow covers, and we are disinfecting patient gowns after each use.
There's a powder room in the private treatment room and a pager so I can call immediately if I have any discomfort. After receiving all the acupuncture, I moved to the Chuna room, where I received facial acupuncture, oral soft tissue stimulation, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) Chuna. This is where they correct the temporomandibular joint and neck. It was my first time receiving TMJ Chuna, and it was amazing. Afterward, I looked at my face in the mirror in the Chuna room, and I could clearly see that my facial center lines had aligned. I was curious about how much acupuncture I had, and they let me see it in this way. Since it was my first time receiving facial acupuncture, I was worried it might hurt, but it didn't. The director kindly explained the process and eased me into a more relaxed and trusting manner. After finishing the acupuncture, I received TMJ Chuna. I felt refreshed afterward. I think if I continue receiving it, my facial asymmetry will be resolved.
