This morning, on my way to work, I hurriedly crossed the crosswalk and was stepping down from the sidewalk when I twisted my ankle. Since it was during my commute, I was so distracted by the pain or lack of it that I didn't notice until I arrived at work, and then the pain gradually set in. I quickly applied an ice pack, and I was able to walk, so I thought there was no bone injury. However, after looking into it, I suspected that my ankle might have sprained ligaments. I heard that if ligaments or bones are not treated immediately, residual effects can remain, so I was scared and rushed to the hospital. The hospital I visited is Mapo Gongdeok Tunteun Orthopedic Clinic, located on Gongdeok Street.

Still, since it's a hospital, I thought the turnover would be quick, so I waited for an hour... My ankle was sore, and I was a bit angry about the treatment I didn't know when I would see. Eventually, I received a first-time consultation around 4 PM. The final diagnosis was a sprain of the ankle ligament, and they said a half-cast and consistent physical therapy were necessary. After about an hour of physical therapy, I finished about two hours of treatment. It's my first time wearing a cast, and it's quite uncomfortable. They said I need to wear it properly for two weeks, and I'm worried because there’s also a forecast for rain this week.

정형외과는 한번 가면 의사만나 초진받고 엑스레이 촬영하고 다시 의사 만나고 하느라 시간이 엄청 걸리잖아요 ㅠ
