I have been suffering from a cough for several days and decided to visit an otolaryngology clinic. It is a hospital I have been going to since high school, although I no longer live in Seoul, I always visit this place whenever I catch a cold. I went there again yesterday, got an injection, and picked up some medicine. The hospital is located right in front of Dunchon Station on Line 5, at Exit 3, where there is Oscar Shopping Center. It is on the second floor of that building. Enter through the corridor near Mega Coffee, and when you go up the stairs, you'll see the hospital entrance immediately. It can be confusing the first time you go because it’s very retro. It’s far from the modern hospitals that have opened recently. But the doctors are very skilled. They tend to give a lot of medication, but maybe because I only go to this hospital, other hospitals don’t seem to cure my cold. I seem to have a cold for about 11 months out of the year... I have rhinitis, and every change of season makes my cold worse. Cough and runny nose are almost always present as default symptoms... Anyway, I am that kind of person, but I listen well to the medicines here and I like it. There is also a pharmacy on the first floor. If I were to recommend a good place nearby, there’s a hotteok (sweet pancake) shop at the market entrance, and it’s really delicious. If you go too early (it seems to open after 11), they won’t open the door, and if you go too late, they run out of hotteok. Yesterday, I couldn’t buy any because they were sold out by 3:30 PM. Haha. Anyway, you should visit this hospital once!
The hospital is open on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Unusually, it is closed on Saturdays but open on Sundays during the 2nd, 4th, and 5th weeks. It closes at 1:00 PM on Sundays, but it's convenient because you can go to the hospital on Sundays too. Also, parking is only available for 30 minutes, so if the hospital is busy, you may need to pay extra.
