Sometimes, the area where the blood vessel protrudes feels itchy.

I have varicose veins and received sclerotherapy. The doctor said I should do it about three times, but after just one treatment, the numbness and heaviness in my legs improved, so I didn't go back. It's been over five years, and the symptoms are gradually returning. Instead of numbness, heaviness, or pain, I experience an unusual itchy sensation as if bugs are crawling on my skin. When I scratch, I notice the blood vessels turn red. They say they inject into these blood vessels to close them off, but the veins have reappeared. Is this very unsightly? Should I go to the hospital for treatment again?
