Should I remove blemishes?

My skin isn't heavily blemished, but since my skin is quite fair, the blemishes are very visible. The spots are dark and scattered, so even with makeup, they don't cover well. Many people around me say I don't need to do anything and that the blemishes tend to come back after treatment. However, I care about it when I look in the mirror, so I'm worried. If I do it, I want to see real results and maintain them well, but I’m really 고민돼요 (worried/conflicted). For those who know a lot about blemish removal, please leave many helpful replies^^
