Timing of wearing multifocal lenses

In my mid-40s, I used to wear glasses, but lately my eyesight has been worsening.

I'm worried that it seems to have fallen.

The small text on my phone is hard to see. So I take off my glasses to check, and it's probably due to age-related vision decline.

I don't feel any discomfort when wearing glasses in daily life, but I do feel discomfort when looking at my phone or reading a book, even though I wear glasses during everyday activities.

I'm considering whether I should switch to multifocal lenses.

If you find it uncomfortable to read small text like this, should you change it?
