Cataracts and Glaucoma

Are the two things different?

I have acquaintances nearby, and they are very worried because they have cataracts.

I believe the glaucoma is much more severe, but I'm not sure if I am mistaken.

I want to know if there are differences in symptoms or in treatment.

Cataracts are not something to be worried about either.
