(Question) Will the dark spots recur after the Repot Laser?

I had been troubled by the dark spots on my face, so I recently received a Repot laser treatment. I was self-conscious about the noticeable spots whenever I applied makeup, and since they were the first thing that stood out in photos, I decided to have them removed. After a consultation, I was told that the Repot laser is effective for removing dark spots, so I proceeded with the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, a scab formed, and I went about my daily life with the Duoderm bandage applied as instructed by the clinic. After about two weeks, I removed the Duoderm, and the dark spots on the treated area had been removed so cleanly that they were barely visible. I was very satisfied every time I looked in the mirror, and I thought they had really disappeared well.

However, the problem was what happened after that.
About a month after the procedure, a very light brown color started to appear where the dark spot used to be. At first, I didn't pay much attention to it, thinking it might just be discoloration, but as time passed, I felt like the color was getting darker little by little. It isn't as dark as it was before the procedure, but I'm worried that it might reappear.

So, I am working hard to manage it in my own way to prevent a recurrence.

   
First of all, I am paying close attention to UV protection. I apply SPF50+ sunscreen 30 minutes before going out, and if I am out for a long time, I reapply it every 2 to 3 hours. I also use a hat and a parasol to minimize sun exposure as much as possible.

I am also making an effort to minimize skin irritation. I avoid rubbing the treated area or using exfoliating products, and I wash my face gently with foam. I am also refraining from using scrubs or peeling products for the time being.

Lastly, I am paying close attention to moisturizing care to prevent hyperpigmentation. I am consistently applying regenerating and moisturizing creams, and I am diligently staying hydrated to prevent my skin from drying out. I am also trying to sleep as regularly as possible.

Even though I am taking good care of it, I am worried because the brown areas seem to be getting more visible in the treated area. Has anyone else experienced dark spots reappearing about a month after having them removed with a Repot laser, just like me? I am wondering if this is an actual recurrence or just a temporary process of hyperpigmentation.

If this is a temporary phenomenon, please share how managing it helped, and if there are any methods you found effective to prevent recurrence. I would also appreciate your opinion on whether the situation warrants a return visit to the hospital.
