I am worried because my melasma is getting wider. Will it disappear if I get a procedure?
I am very worried these days because the melasma on my face is getting wider and darker. In particular, the spots under my eyes and on my cheekbones are difficult to cover even with makeup, so I am self-conscious every time I go out. My skin looks dull, which has significantly lowered my confidence. I have consistently applied sunscreen and tried using whitening cosmetics and creams specifically for melasma, but the effects were not noticeable. I have also received laser toning treatments at a dermatology clinic several times, but I did not get satisfactory results.
So these days, I am very concerned about whether getting a procedure can really get rid of my melasma. I have heard that some improvement is possible, but it is difficult to make a decision because I have also heard that it may not disappear completely and could recur. If anyone has undergone treatment for melasma, it would be a great help if you could share your experiences regarding the actual effectiveness and how post-procedure care has changed.
