My skin is thin; is it okay to get laser treatment?

I tend to have a lot of freckles and blemishes on my skin.
I wonder if they keep appearing as I get older; now there are much more than before.
It bothers me so much every time I look in the mirror.
I am considering getting a laser treatment.
My skin is on the thinner side; will that be okay?
