Will the treatment be effective for acne scars in older adults?

When I look in the mirror these days, the pitted marks from my youth look deeper as I get older. The scars from my school days stand out more now that my skin has lost elasticity, so I am planning to start managing my acne scars again.

I used to just live with it, but now I’m starting to want to properly manage my acne scars to achieve smooth skin. I’ve heard that skin regenerative capacity decreases in older adults; would acne scar treatments still be effective for someone my age?
