In the past, many people finished their cleansing with cold water to tighten pores, but in reality, sudden temperature changes cause significant stress to the skin. While cold water gives the illusion of momentarily tightening pores, it can stimulate blood vessels deep within the skin, potentially worsening redness or sensitivity. Conversely, water that is too hot dissolves the skin's natural moisture barrier, leading to dryness and damage.

 

Tips for the Proper Evening Face Wash:

  • Use lukewarm water Water at a temperature of about 30 to 35 degrees, similar to skin temperature, is most ideal.

  • Choosing a gentle cleanser Choose products containing ingredients that protect the skin barrier rather than strong cleansing power.

  • Step 2 Cleansing Remove makeup or sunscreen first with cleansing oil/balm, then finish with a mild foam cleanser.

  • Reduce face washing time Finishing quickly within about 1 minute minimizes skin irritation.

  • Finishing moisturizing Please stabilize your skin with a moisturizing cream or soothing ampoule immediately after washing your face.

After switching to lukewarm water, I also noticed a significant reduction in rough skin, and it felt much more comfortable. I realized firsthand that the key to cleansing is "healthy" rather than "clean." Try practicing a small habit for your skin this evening.
