(Question) Is the blackhead treatment really effective?

Even with consistent at-home care, there are limits to managing blackheads. I have been consistently using a pore softener soaked in sebum on a cotton pad to loosen the sebum, and while whiteheads disappear, blackheads remain stubbornly in place. It seems like physical removal is necessary. I would like to know what procedures are available for blackhead removal, if the pain is severe, if it is actually effective in removing blackheads, how long the results last, and when I should get a follow-up treatment.
