[Question] How should I manage melasma and freckles that have appeared since my teenage years?
Melasma and freckles started becoming noticeable during my teenage years. I have experienced them definitely darkening when exposed to prolonged sunlight or strong UV rays during the summer, and they also worsen when I lacked sleep or was under severe stress. Conversely, getting enough sleep, maintaining a regular lifestyle, and consistently applying sunscreen seemed to alleviate them to some extent. Methods I have personally tried so far include applying sunscreen every morning and reapplying it when going out, taking Vitamin C supplements and eating fruit, receiving laser toning and whitening treatments at a dermatologist's office, improving my diet, staying hydrated, and using moisturizers. However, since these methods have not completely resolved the issue, I feel that consistent care is the most helpful. If anyone has experienced similar concerns, I would be grateful if you could share how you manage your skin or if any methods have been effective for you.
