“Does facial contouring surgery hurt a lot?”

This is the first question that many people ask.
Since it is a surgery performed directly on the face, it is impossible not to be worried.

But those who have actually tried it

mostly “It hurt less than I thought.” Tell me.

Today, from anesthesia to recovery,

I'll be honest and explain to you how much it really hurts.

Recently, Choi Yang-rak also revealed that he had undergone facial contouring surgery!

How is anesthesia administered?

Facial lifting is not just about tightening the skin.
Up to the subcutaneous fascia layer (SMAS) It's a precise surgery that pulls together.

So the anesthesia method also varies depending on the scope of the surgery.

local anesthesia : It is only used for very small areas or mini-masks.
It is not recommended for those who are sensitive to pain while awake.

General anesthesia (intravenous anesthesia) : This is how most patients receive it.
Since the surgery was completed while I was unconscious and sleeping comfortably, I had almost no concerns about pain.

general anesthesia : It is used in conjunction with large area lifting or other surgeries.

Because most of them are performed under general anesthesia
You won't feel anything during the surgery and when you wake up, it's already over :)

Does facial contouring surgery hurt?

no!

When the anesthesia has fully taken effect, you will not feel any pain at all.
There is no “moment during surgery” itself that feels scary because I have almost no memory of it.

Rather, what is important is post-surgical recovery management.

How much pain is there after surgery?

Until the day after surgery, my whole face feels a bit swollen and tight.
However, most of the time, it can be sufficiently controlled with painkillers.

It usually recovers in this order 👇

Day 1-2 : When swelling, bruising, and tightness are most severe

Days 3-5 : As the swelling goes down, only a feeling of pressure remains.

Around the 7th day : Removing thread (it's just a little tingly)

Week 2-3 : Your facial expressions become more natural and the pain almost disappears.

At this point, you'll notice a change in your lines when you look in the mirror :)

Does removing stitches hurt?

It doesn't hurt as much as I thought.
It's just a brief tingling sensation, and it doesn't even last a second.

Many people say that their face feels much more relaxed after the stitches are removed.
