Early symptoms and treatment of lumbar disc herniation

I will tell you about my experience with early symptoms of lumbar disc herniation, the early symptoms that can be recognized by the body, and exercises that can prevent it.

I'm suffering from the early symptoms of a herniated disc. I'm writing this post because I want to get help. I started experiencing back pain six months ago. When I sit for a long time, my back feels stiff and tingling, and when I strain my back, I feel pain. I had this symptom right away, but I didn't know it was an early symptom of a herniated disc. At first, I tried applying patches and getting acupuncture, but I thought it was muscle pain and didn't know it was a symptom of a herniated disc. The pain has gotten so severe that I can't sit still for 30 minutes even at a cafe. At work, I can't sit still for long periods of time, so I have to keep sitting and standing up. I can't stand for that long either. It's an endless cycle, and I'm worried that it's a nuisance at work. I urgently visited a hospital, had an X-ray, and had tests done, and the doctor told me it was a symptom of a herniated disc. He said that my back would get better by doing stretching and conservative management, but I'm at a loss and frustrated about what to do. He said that if the herniated disc isn't properly treated, it could lead to surgery, but I don't want to risk having to cut into my body. I'm so scared thinking about it, and I'm worried about the side effects of continuing to receive injections, and it's hard to live a normal life on the days I get the injections. It seems like physical therapy isn't really working yet. I'm so frustrated because the early symptoms of a herniated disc keep recurring. Is it possible to relieve the pain from a herniated disc? I have a lot of concerns about a herniated disc, and the early symptoms are starting to show. So the doctor told me that doing exercises for the erector spinae muscles on the lower back can help relieve the pain.

Well then, let's look at the early symptoms of a herniated disc.

Initial symptoms include a tingling or stinging sensation

When I sit for a long time, my lower back gets tight and hurts. It hurts especially when I bend over, and sometimes I feel a tingling sensation when I straighten my body.

Initial symptoms include numbness in the lower back or back of the thighs

You can just ignore the pain in your lower back, but if you feel a tingling sensation starting from the base of your spine and extending down your thighs and calves, you should be suspicious.

Early symptoms of weakness in one leg

If you feel weak and tremble in only one leg, and you feel like you are limping even when walking a short distance, it may not be simple fatigue.

Early symptoms: feeling of pain in the lower back when coughing

This is really unusual, but when you cough or sneeze, you can feel a throbbing pain radiating down your lower back. This is caused by increased abdominal pressure irritating the disc.

Herniated disc can be recovered without surgery in the early stages. However, this is only possible in the early stages.

Drug treatment

You may be prescribed anti-inflammatory painkillers or muscle relaxants. These will help reduce pain and keep your back muscles from becoming more tense.

physical therapy

If you take it consistently, it will definitely be effective in relieving pain.

Manual therapy Chuna therapy

Depending on the hospital, manual therapy to correct spinal alignment can be helpful. However, if you receive it in the wrong place, it can actually make your condition worse, so be sure to find out and get it done.

Improve lifestyle habits

In fact, this is the most important thing. Just maintaining good posture can reduce pain by half. I also use a lumbar support cushion when I sleep and keep my smartphone at eye level. I stretch frequently in between.

Good exercise for herniated disc

Cat Pose Stretch

Knee-chest pull

Hip Lift Bridge

Swimming Yoga Pilates

It is difficult to completely recover once it has burst, so it is a little inconvenient, but now is the time to start managing it. If you catch it early, you can live a healthy life, but if you leave it untreated, the high cost and pain will double, no, tenfold.Early symptoms and treatment of lumbar disc herniationEarly symptoms and treatment of lumbar disc herniation
