My family member is looking into procedures or surgeries related to the under-eye area. While researching, I came across under-eye fat removal and fat repositioning. I thought they were similar surgeries, but I am confused because the methods and results seem different. I am wondering if it is better to simply remove the fat if it is protruding, or if fat repositioning yields a more natural look. I am particularly worried because I heard that removing too much fat can make the under-eye area look sunken later on. I would like to know exactly what the differences are between the two surgeries and what those who have actually undergone the procedures have noticed. 저도 처음 알아볼 때는 지방제거랑 지방재배치가 그냥 비슷한 수술인 줄 알았어요. 그런데 제 눈은 지방이 아주 많은 편이 아니라 가운데만 살짝 볼록하고 눈밑은 꺼져 있는 타입이라, 상담받고 재배치로 결정했어요.

저 같은 경우에는 단순히 볼록한 부분만 없애는 것보다 꺼진 부분과 돌출된 부분의 굴곡을 같이 정리하는 게 고민에 더 맞았고, 실제로 2개월 정도 지나니 예전처럼 눈밑이 울퉁불퉁해 보이는 느낌이 많이 줄었어요. 

특히 저는 다크서클도 있었는데 색소 자체가 없어진 건 아니고, 눈밑 굴곡이 정리되면서 그림자가 덜 져서 전체적으로 덜 피곤해 보이는 쪽이었어요. 그래서 살이 두툼한 문제와 다크서클은 꼭 같은 문제라고 보긴 어려운 것 같아요.

저라면 지방이 많다고 무조건 제거하기보다는, 가족분 눈밑에 꺼짐도 같이 있는지 상담에서 확인해보고 결정할 것 같아요. 저는 상담할 때 개선되는 부분뿐 아니라 색소는 수술로 해결되지 않는다는 한계까지 설명해준 곳이라 오히려 믿음이 갔어요.

지방제거는 단순히 줄이는 것이고 재배치는 볼륨을 재분배하는 거예요.
효과와 목적이 다르니 상담 후 선택하는 게 좋아요.
