Will it look awkward when I smile after getting under-eye protection?

It’s actually kind of stressful these days because whenever I take a picture, the area under my eyes shows first.
Even on days when I got enough sleep, the area under my eyes looked puffy, and depending on the lighting, it even cast shadows, making me look more tired.
Even when I try to cover them up with makeup, applying a thick layer of concealer actually makes the wrinkles stand out more, so it’s not easy.
