Whenever I have to go to the hospital in Beolgyo, I secretly worry about where to go, but after visiting Beolgyo Suncheon Infirmary this time, I decided to settle down here. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations when I went. Local hospitals often just give you a quick checkup and some medication. But as soon as I walked in, my preconceived notions were shattered. From the moment I checked in, the nurses spoke softly and guided me calmly, making me feel relieved of my unnecessarily nervousness.
This is solved.
The waiting room was cleaner than I expected, and I liked that it wasn't too crowded. Patients were coming in steadily, but it wasn't a hectic atmosphere. It felt like everyone was a regular in the neighborhood, like, "Oh, you come here often!" That gave me a sense of trust. Hospitals that have been around for a long time have a reason, after all.
One thing I appreciated about the treatment was that the director never gave vague explanations. When I described my symptoms, he listened to me without interrupting. He explained things step by step, explaining things like, "Why is this happening? This is the current condition. It's not something to worry about right now, but let's be careful about this." He explained things step by step, making it easier to understand. There were times when I'd been searching the internet and gotten scared, but he calmly addressed those points, which put my mind at ease.
I liked that the appointments didn't feel rushed. Even though it was a local hospital, it didn't feel like they were just "quickly checking and moving on," but rather that they made sure to see what was needed and move on. So, while I wouldn't say the wait time was extremely short, I was convinced that they were providing me with adequate care. They didn't over-prescribe anything, and they also talked about things to be careful about in daily life, so I thought, "Oh, I don't just take medicine and be done with it." This made a big difference. Even when I got home, I thought, "Wow, I had a good day at the hospital."
Overall, it's not a fancy hospital, but it feels like a trustworthy neighborhood hospital. The friendliness, explanations, and atmosphere are all above average, and it feels especially comfortable for seniors and children. I can't help but think it's been a neighborhood favorite for a long time. If I ever experience similar symptoms again, I'll definitely come back here instead of looking elsewhere.
Haha and the photo was taken a long time ago so the structure has changed a bit now haha
