Adult orthodontics

My lower teeth are uneven, and my mouth is slightly protruding, so I've always wanted to try orthodontics, but considering the time and other factors, I can't decide easily.

I heard that at least two years of correction is necessary. I wonder if those who have tried it achieved satisfactory results and if they experienced any inconveniences in daily life.
