(Story-Opinion) Reflections on the timing of orthodontic treatment

My lower front teeth have been gradually spreading apart as I age, so I decided to get orthodontic treatment.

I remember that was the year I turned forty. I visited an orthodontic specialist dental clinic to help my son, and when I saw the doctor, she recommended it to me. I also felt the need for it, so I decided to go ahead. The orthodontic process was smoother than I expected, and I only had the lower teeth done, but the upper teeth naturally aligned themselves. After the orthodontics, I received many compliments on how pretty I looked.. haha

However, regarding the timing of orthodontic treatment, I believe it is okay to proceed at any time once the issue is recognized, so I would like to only mention the timing to avoid as my opinion.

My son was in middle school, and since he was in a growth period, he needed to eat well, but he couldn't, so I think he didn't grow enough, and I believe it also negatively affected his grades. Therefore, I personally think it would be better to schedule orthodontic treatment after he has freely decided on his college entrance, once these two issues are resolved... just my humble opinion.
