My teeth often cause trouble.

Actually, since I was young, the scariest hospital for me was the dentist, and even now, it's one of the places I really don't want to go. I seem to have several cavities on my molars, and I know I need to go to the dentist, but since it doesn't hurt badly right now, I'm delaying it. Will the treatment become more extensive if I wait longer? Also, even if it doesn't hurt, do I really have to get nerve treatment? It seems that crowning with a gold tooth can be quite expensive. I wonder if regular scaling would suffice. I realize from the beginning that I need to take good care of my teeth.
