My teeth are very cold.

When I brush my teeth or blow air into my mouth, I feel a cold sensation between my teeth. Even if I think it will be okay tomorrow, I keep worrying and it hurts. What kind of treatment will I receive if I go to the dentist? Is it because of a cavity causing the cold sensitivity? Will I get a procedure to fill it? It won't be painful, right?
