How often do you get scaling?

In the past, I was actually reluctant to visit the dentist, and once I went, the cost estimates were no joke, so I kept avoiding going.

Currently, scaling is covered by insurance, so it's not a big burden to get it done, but after I have the scaling, the tartar between my teeth is removed, creating gaps, and food tends to get stuck even more.

So, after meals with people, I keep feeling anxious and have been avoiding getting scaling done.

They tell me to come regularly because it's covered by insurance, but after just one visit, there's a gap in between, and it's uncomfortable...ㅠㅠ
