(Concern) My gums are swollen and bleed easily

Is gum disease also hereditary? Both of my parents have weak teeth and poor gum health. Both of them have had implants and are continuously under care.

But I also have weak gums. When I went to the dentist for scaling some time ago, the nurse told me that my gums are too weak for my age. She said my teeth are barely attached to the gums.

Maybe that's why my gums often swell and bleed. I manage it at home with dental floss and interdental brushes, but it doesn't seem to improve, and every time I go for scaling, I hear that it's not getting better.

I'm almost 40 now, should I start taking gum medicine or something?
