The implant area often swells.

Everything was properly taken care of when I got the implant, but about a year after the implant, my gums occasionally swell. When I go to the dentist, they say there's an infection and give me medication, which helps quickly, but it has happened several times since then. If it gets worse, they say they might have to open up the implant and treat it, which already makes going to the dentist stressful. ㅠ
