I have a question about the implant process! (Avid student)

I'm curious about the implant process!!

It would be great if those who are familiar with the implant process could share their knowledge.

First, let me explain a little bit of what I've found out!

 

The hospital I plan to go to is Snow Dental Clinic.

I am thinking about getting dental implants at Snow Dental Clinic, located at Exit 8 of Nonhyeon Station.

 

DIO implants cost 490,000 won

 

Osstem implants were 560,000 won!

 

 

I looked into the implant process; could you please check if this process is correct?

 

1. Counseling and Diagnosis

I heard that you need to receive a consultation and diagnosis first before getting an implant.

 

2. Surgery

Does implant surgery involve extracting a tooth and placing an implant?

 

3. Bone integration period

The period during which an implant fuses well with the gum bone is called the osseointegration period. Generally, osseointegration takes about 6 months for the upper jaw and 3 months for the lower jaw.

I heard that it is best to wear a temporary prosthesis and avoid using your teeth during this period!

 

4. Fabrication and placement of prosthetics

Once the osseointegration period has passed, the final prosthesis is fabricated and fitted.

 

I've looked into it like this for now, but are these four processes correct?

I've never had implants before, so I'm not exactly sure if this process is correct.
