Implant odor

I got an implant a year ago. The bone graft and screw placement were fine, but since covering the tooth head, I have been experiencing an unknown taste and smell. I told my dentist, and they removed, disinfected, and reinstalled it, but I still feel an unfamiliar taste that is not like cavity or foul smell. They said the X-ray looks clear. Is there anyone else who has experienced something similar? Someone who feels an unknown taste near the implant...
