Gum recession problems during orthodontic treatment

Is there a high chance of gum recession after orthodontic treatment?

I've seen a lot of people struggling with gum problems after getting braces.

I've seen cases like that even when done by a certified orthodontist.

I envy people the most for having straight teeth without needing braces.
