Do I need re-orthodontic treatment for teeth that have become spaced apart after braces?

It has been quite a while since I got braces, and my teeth have started to separate a little.
I said I was diligently wearing the retainer, but it keeps widening.
It bothers me a bit because the area next to my front teeth is slightly visible due to the gap.
Do I need to get it readjusted again now?
I'm worried that even if I get the braces redone, it might come apart again.
