Will orthodontic treatment change the size of the jaw?

I didn't get braces when I was young because I didn't have any significant malocclusion.

All the family members have undergone orthognathic surgery or orthodontic treatment.

I knew about it, but recently I went to the dentist because my jaw joint was hurting.

Because the upper and lower teeth do not align properly, you grind your teeth at night, which can cause jaw pain.

 

 

The photo above shows the structure of my upper teeth.

The square part is misaligned in the order of losing the primary tooth.

It is slightly tucked inside.

So, the upper and lower teeth do not align properly.

It appears asymmetrical when viewed from the frontㅜㅜ

My family's history includes having a protruding jaw.

There is no one in the family who hasn't had orthodontic treatment.

Orthognathic surgery was done by my younger sibling and my cousin's older brother.

It seemed like a distant story to me.

The problem is a flat, expressionless face with a broad and flat appearance.

I wonder if it's because of my jawㅠ

 

 

Would it get a lot better if I get braces? ㅠ
