Place that does well with implants

I need to get a single molar implant, and there is a dental clinic nearby. I heard that implants should be done at a place that specializes in them, but it's inconvenient because the other clinic is too far away. I'm worried because I heard that the nearby clinic can't do it. Wouldn't it be better to ask around and go to a place that is known to be good?
