Gum grafting while undergoing orthodontic treatment?

I am undergoing orthodontic treatment.

The reason for rebracketing was that one of the previous braces shifted, exposing the root of the tooth, which required orthodontic treatment.

Currently undergoing re-correction, and it seems to be going well, but if the exposed tooth root area does not have the gum properly covering it,

I heard I need to get a gum transplant...

I don't want to have a gum transplant, do I really have to do it? ㅠㅠ

I'm scared, but I thought as long as the correction is done well, it would be fine, but I’m so scared about the gum transplant ㅠㅠ
