(Concern) How do you manage atopic dermatitis scars?
My daughter has had atopic dermatitis since she was born.
I am always taking care of it.
Eating habits, living environment, moisturizing, indoor temperature and humidity, stress management, etc.
I am also studying about atopic dermatitis and managing my daughter's health.
I also regularly visit the dermatology clinic and receive antihistamines and ointment prescriptions.
I am using all the recommended moisturizers and lotions.
Moisturizers that are better than using just one are being used in many different ways.
Rather than suddenly getting much better...
We are really trying to make it less itchy, less painful, and less likely to be scratched.
It seems that the concept of recovery is more about alleviation than complete cure.
The area with the most severe atopic dermatitis
The area where the arm bends and the area where the leg bends.
During the hot summer, due to the scorching weather, I experienced a lot of itching along with sweating.
I paid a lot of attention to temperature and moisturizing.
Lately, I realized that scratching less for a while makes it better.
The atopic scar has become more prominent and darker.
Since she is still a young elementary school student, she's not yet ready to undergo laser treatment.
The hospital told me that when prescribing ointment, I should apply it for about three months.
They said they weren't sure if it would become completely smooth.
Because it's hot, I wear short-sleeved T-shirts and shorts, so the scar atmosphere is more noticeable.
Please let me know if anyone has tips or methods for managing atopic dermatitis scars.
