Sharing my experience of visiting the hospital and receiving treatment for plantar fasciitis

I have been working hard to treat my plantar fasciitis, and I would like to share a few things that have been effective. I have noticed that there are quite a few people around me seeking treatment for plantar fasciitis. I hope this will be helpful to those looking for treatment methods or those with similar concerns.
If you experience foot pain, you would typically visit a Korean medicine clinic or an orthopedic clinic; however, I believe it is best to go to an orthopedic clinic with a foot specialist if possible. Since the foot is a sensitive area where multiple nerves pass through, I think it is crucial to start with an accurate diagnosis. Fortunately, there was an orthopedic clinic with a foot specialist near my home, so I visited and was able to receive treatment for plantar fasciitis. I underwent X-rays and ultrasound examinations, and the doctor noted that my soles were thinner than average and advised that I needed to manage them regularly. I believe it is best to treat plantar fasciitis aggressively in the early stages. If left untreated, it can become chronic inflammation, so treatment can take longer than expected. I took the medication prescribed by the hospital; for the first week or so, I took a steroid-containing drug, and then switched to a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). I also received extracorporeal shockwave therapy about three times. Although the shockwave therapy can be painful, it was effective in the beginning. Furthermore, the most important prerequisite for treating plantar fasciitis is to reduce the use of your feet. It might feel a bit stuffy, but to get rid of inflammation, it is best to minimize irritation to the painful area, so you need to walk less. It is also a good idea to switch to comfortable sneakers. I wear Skechers shoes, and since the soles are soft, they seem to help alleviate the pain. I also wear cushioned slippers indoors, and that seems to be helpful as well.
Treating plantar fasciitis takes time and requires consistent management, but it definitely leads to improvement, so I hope my review of plantar fasciitis treatment has been helpful.
