My heels hurt every time I walk. Is this plantar fasciitis?

One day, my heels started hurting every time I walked.
I've often found that wearing shoes without heels is particularly painful.
So, it's a little better if you wear shoes with heels.
Is this the symptom of plantar fasciitis that I've only heard about?
Should I now wear something like an insole?
