BEST(Question) How long does it take for the anesthesia to wear off?

Today, I had an eye examination with my pupils dilated using a mydriatic agent. The dilation started around 11:10 AM, and the exam was completed by 12:00 PM. I was told that the effects would naturally wear off after about 5 hours, but when I look in the mirror, my pupils are still dilated. According to some research, there are individual differences, and it can take up to 7 hours to fully recover, so I plan to monitor it. Has anyone who has undergone an eye exam with a mydriatic agent experienced how long it usually takes for the dilation to subside? It's quite uncomfortable with my pupils still dilated.
