Shrimp fried rice with plump shrimp and fluffy rice
Shrimp fried rice, a harmonious blend of plump shrimp and fluffy rice, is a satisfying dish no matter when you eat it. This batch was prepared for 3 to 4 servings and took approximately 25 minutes to cook. The ingredients used were 3 cups of cooked rice, 15 to 20 shrimp, 2 eggs, half an onion, one green onion, 1/3 of a carrot, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sesame oil. For the cooking process, first scramble the eggs, then stir-fry the vegetables. Next, add the shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink. Afterward, add the cold rice and stir-fry while breaking it up evenly. Season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper, then add the eggs at the end and mix. Turn off the heat and drizzle with a little sesame oil to finish, bringing out a nutty aroma.
As a cooking tip, it is best to use cold rice, and the shrimp should not be stir-fried for too long to prevent them from becoming tough. Drizzling the soy sauce around the edge of the pan to create a slightly burnt aroma deepens the flavor.
