Are there any ways to prevent the recurrence of cystitis?

When I first got cystitis, I really felt terrible and it was hard.

Even though I just urinated, I felt like I needed to go again in just a few seconds, which I hated. The constant urge to go even when nothing is coming out didn't feel relieving at all, and it was really difficult.

But once it happens, it tends to happen again. Is it because my immune system is weakened?

What are some ways to prevent it?
