Are hormones related to hair loss?

I have been taking hormone medication for several years.

I'm wondering if hair loss can occur if I stop.

Hormonal medication is a regular contraceptive pill.

The duration of the medication is about two years.

Did not lose hair during pregnancy

It feels like suddenly losing something after childbirth.
