1. My Concerns

 

Due to my severe myopia, I have visited many ophthalmologists since childhood. Since regular checkups are essential, whereas I used to go to the hospital with my parents when I was young, I now choose a clinic based on clear criteria. In addition to my severe myopia, I also have a retinal disease, so consistent management is required; therefore, finding a good ophthalmology clinic is a must. I visited three hospitals for checkups and decided on Metro Ophthalmology Clinic as my top choice for eye exams.

It is a somewhat old hospital. While the highly skilled medical staff inspires confidence, the facilities are outdated and the equipment is limited. Precise medical checkups are not available, and the long waiting times made the examination process inconvenient.

 

3rd Place Suseong Ophthalmology Clinic

 

Since it is a relatively small neighborhood ophthalmology clinic, simple checkups are possible, but it seemed that procedures or surgeries were not feasible. However, I was satisfied with the treatment for allergic conjunctivitis, so it is good for simple eye conditions.

 

3. Reason for Selection: Why is it ranked 1st?

 

The decisive difference between this clinic and the 2nd and 3rd place clinics is the scale of the hospital. Metro Ophthalmology is a large-scale hospital with separate centers for examinations, surgery, SMILE LASIK, and cataracts/retina, staffed by 11 ophthalmologists. As such, it is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, which is excellent as it allows for immediate precise examinations and surgical procedures. I personally had a same-day precise retinal examination and received laser treatment without any waiting, so I have been very satisfied ever since and visit regularly for checkups.
