I was hospitalized for gallstones and underwent single-port laparoscopic surgery. I had a check-up in the morning and went in for surgery at 5 PM for tests. It seemed they even perform night surgeries on weekends, as people were going in for operations at 7 or 8 PM. The cost seemed reasonable, and I felt comfortable because a female doctor performed the procedure. When I woke up from general anesthesia, I felt like my stomach was tearing apart. Since I was told I had to walk the next day, I broke out in a cold sweat just getting out of bed to urinate in the middle of the night; it took me 20 minutes to get to the bathroom right next to me. It really felt like my internal organs were spilling out, and my intestines were moving in real-time every time I moved. However, I kept walking and sitting, and although I thought I would absolutely never be able to leave the hospital on the morning of my discharge, I was able to walk to some extent, so I finished my 2-night, 3-day stay.
