This is a hospital located in Banyeo-dong. Due to persistent shoulder pain that was interfering with my daily life and sleep, I sought treatment in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. During the examination, a physical examination and imaging tests revealed suspected rotator cuff inflammation and peri-tendon inflammation. Accordingly, I underwent extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) to relieve pain and restore function. ESWT provides physical stimulation to the injured tendon and surrounding tissues, increasing blood flow and promoting tissue regeneration. This treatment was performed repeatedly at regular intervals.
Additionally, ultrasound-guided injection therapy was administered to reduce inflammation and pain. This injection therapy precisely targets the inflamed area, helping to rapidly relieve pain. Physical therapy, including heat therapy and electrical stimulation, was also administered to relieve muscle tension around the shoulder and restore range of motion. Currently, the pain is gradually decreasing, and consistent treatment and rehabilitation exercises are helping to restore shoulder function.
